Bentu Hoops
Bentu Hoops
The Bentu Hoops offer a timeless look that pairs perfectly with any outfit, day or night. The hoops are made by melting brass offcuts into small balls, which are then soldered individually and are then coated in a luxuriously thick layer of 14k recycled gold. They measure 2 cm in diameter.
Each Yewo piece is sustainably made in their solar-powered workshop and creates full-time employment for their team in rural Malawi.
TRANSLATION: ‘Bentu' means 'Almost Full’ in Tumbuka, the language of Northern Malawi.
ABOUT THE BRAND: Yewo is a social enterprise based in the mountains of Northern Malawi Africa. From supporting ethical employment in a rural community in Malawi to offsetting our carbon emissions through low-impact production and sustainable packaging, they aim to empower both people and the planet through thoughtfully made jewelry.
